Österreichisches Roboter-Segelboot nimmt Kurs auf WM-Titel

Wien/Breitenbrunn, Mai 2008: Die österreichische Gesellschaft für innovative Computerwissenschaften (InnoC) veranstaltet von 20. bis 25. Mai 2008 in Kooperation mit dem Yachtclub Breitenbrunn die weltweit erste Roboter-Segelweltmeisterschaft auf dem österreichischen Neusiedlersee. Neben der österreichischen Roboter-Yacht „ASV roboat“ kämpfen noch Boote aus Kanada, Portugal und Großbritannien um den Weltmeistertitel.

First ever World Championship in Robotic Sailing on Lake Neusiedl in Austria

Vienna/Lake Neusiedl, Dezember 2007: The first ever world championship in robotic sailing is to be carried out in May 2008 in the Austrian village of Breitenbrunn. The championship will be organised by ‘Austrian Association for Innovative Computer Science’ (InnoC) and ‘Yachtclub Breitenbrunn’. The competition provides an ideal playground for the participants in the Microtransat in autumn 2008, during which unmanned, up to four meter long sailing boats are expected to autonomously cross the Atlantic Ocean.
